Sometimes accidents happen. It’s life, there’s not much anyone can do about it. The thing is, with the power of the Internet, accidents get out…and spread like wildfire. Over on the Official PlayStation message boards, a Naughty Dog developer who goes by the name ‘ReklissAbandon’ said a little too much when replying to fans on a particular thread.
When asked why it’s possible to spectate on an opponent during clan matches, who might be using Skype to talk to other players on their team, thus giving an advantage over the other team, the dev said the following.
“I think they wanted people to have fun and ejoy [sic] the show since all dead players can talk to each other no matter what team you are on.”
“But I will suggest it anyway. Not to mention that the next PS3 firmware update is going to allow cross game chat. So if players use that instead of in-game communication then they would also be able to communicate enemies [sic] positions..”
Within seconds of posting this message, the “Not to mention that the next PS3 firmware update is going to allow cross game chat” was removed from the post. That all but confirms the next firmware update is going to be a big one, allowing one of the most sought after tweaks to the PlayStation 3.
