No More Heroes Confirmed For PS3 & Xbox 360

no_more_heroes_logoOur good buddies over at Joystiq have been able to confirm what we had heard about earlier yesterday, No More Heroes is indeed heading to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 early next year.  In fact, over in Japan, both versions will be out on February 25th, 2010.  What we can confirm right now is that there will be a new gameplay mode called “Very Sweet,” and the original game will see significant improvements made to its overall presentation.  That’s to be expected given the horsepower of the HD-enabled PS3 and 360.  We’ll have more information on this story once we hear from Famitsu.  If the North American release is far away, there’s a very good chance I’ll import the PS3 version given the system’s universal access.

  1. Good stuff. The game deserves a lot more attention and an HD remaster will do just the trick. I’m sure the wacky story and sick humor will appeal to a lot of US and UK 360 fans. Not too sure if this remake will perform well in Japan, though. The Wii original sold quite well internationally, but it only moved a couple of thousand units in Japan.

This will make a good import for you, man. I’m hearing that the original Wii game had English voice acting for all regions including Japan. With this remake there’s talks of adding a Japanese track…I don’t think they’re dumb enough to completely remove the English voiceovers. Not too sure if we’ll get the “royal treatment” ala Bayonetta and Star Ocean 4 International, however.

  2. Yeah we’ll see. I know Justin S. may want to give the game an import as well. Either way, it’s good news for those interested in the game and Wii-less.
