  1. Yeah I’m a big fan of anime, but I don’t really read any manga. I used to, but as I’ve gotten older I find I only purchase North American comics and graphic novels. For anime, I’m quite a big fan of Neon Genesis Evangelion, Akira, Robotech and anything Studio Ghibli puts out.

I’m happy to see a comment show up here because this topic has been all but dead for ages now. What do you happen to read/watch?

  2. Like you im a big fan of Neon Genesis Evangelion(along with the new movies i recently receive 1.01 i will watch it this weekend i hope), and also like berserk, claymore, death note, ninja basilisk, gurren langan, fullmetal alchemist, boggiepop phantom, paranoia agent, fullmetal panic, kurao phantom memory, samurai champloo, trigun, lechevalier deon, ergo proxy,d-gray man, kenichi, ghost in the shell, Xtv,bleach, dragon ball and a lot more of anime, my collection is pretty good, and i like almost every genre of anime except, slice of life and yahoi.

For Comics i had also a great appeal, but here in venezuela we dont have store that sells this type of enterteinmet, and the few dolars we get for importing, i expended on videogames and anime, that are my two passions, but i really love to see your post about the pictures of the comics you pick, i wish i cand have one of those. Great photos by the way and nice picks, like anime i also do love American Cartoons like X-men, Spiderman, Batman, etc, they are also really nice, i remember one show thundercats i was a kid and i really enjoy this show along with silverhawks.

  3. Yeah those are some classic North American cartoons. Transformers, Thundercats, Silverhawks, Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs, and MANY others. You listed a whole bunch of anime that I watch. I don’t have the most incredible anime collection out there, but it’s pretty good. Tim, another COE member, is a very big fan of anime and just so happens to be in Japan right now. How awesome is that?

For comics, I’ve been collecting for well over 20 years now and have amassed a giant collection. I’ve been following Batman, Superman and Spider-Man for decades. I have almost a complete run of every single Spider-Man comic ever printed. Yes, I’m insane ;) If you’d like to see even more of this collection and a few pics from Steven, another COE member, you can check out the following link…

That showcases pages upon pages of comics that we have, but not even a small glimpse at my entire collection or Steven’s. I’m extremely thankful for the comment and glad at least one person out there has been enjoying this topic :)

  4. Anytime mate, i really do hope more people that it seems to be, are enjoying this blogs, by the way did you consider to place anime/comics related reviews in this site, i know this site, at its core, is videogames related, but will you consider it nontheless?

I’ll speak of Jarrod and say definitely, Mana Otaku. Tim MacKenzie and I are frequent anime watchers…but he’s more of a hardcore fan than me. We’re definitely considering writing anime/manga reviews in the near future.

As for Jarrod, I’ve been nagging on him along with his comic cohorts Steven and Tim Magana to write some comic-related stuff for the blog. They’ve been discussing stuff like crazy in our private forums. It’s just a matter of time until those three make up some unique comic content for our blog.

  6. Yeah I’m still trying to figure out what to do with comic reviews. I can write-up some basics if you guys are interested. I also read a lot of older graphic novels. Alan Moore, in particular is one of my favorite authors. This year I’ve read quite a few great graphic novels that I’d love to share like Parker: The Hunter, Luna Park, Filthy Rich, and many others. I’ve got some free time so perhaps I can start this week. Feedback like this is what makes it truly worthwhile :)

    Thanks again :)
