Gears of War 3 Concludes Trilogy, April 2011

It appears someone screwed up over at Microsoft, as late yesterday evening the above advertisement could be seen on the dashboard of the Xbox 360.  We knew this was going to get announced, and we expected the announcement to come when Cliff Bleszinski went on the Jimmy Fallon show.  Problem is, he never made the show.  Clearly someone forgot to inform Microsoft’s advertising group, and voila, everyone now knows Gears of War 3 is shipping next April.  We can’t say we’re surprised, and I’m sure a lot of people had a good laugh at this leak.  Anyone remember the PSPgo?  The same thing happened there.  So Gear-heads, prepare for one hell of an epic conclusion to the Gears of War trilogy come next April.

  1. I like these news but it didnt come as a surprise, now having said that i hope they fix the multiplayer aspect of this game it was good but not great, i has a lot of room for improvement.
P.S i like to see the newest evolution of the unreal 3 tech, with the jungle stages in these game

  2. @Steven Lacroix: Yeah Steven, nothing will ever beat our Gears 1 run. “We’ve got this!” lol. Classic.

I’m curious to see what the underwater stages will look like. I’m also curious to see what Cliffy B is going to do after Gears 3.

  3. @Steven Lacroix: Yeah man I hear ya. My only problem now is finding the right time. I was studying for a test at work, but now that’s over with so I might actually have time between 3-6. I know it’s only around 3 hours once I actually get home, etc, but I think we need to get on this.
