Nintendo Announces Pokémon Black & White For Japan

There will be at least one reader who will be pleased to see this news on the site.  Nintendo has just announced Pokémon White, and Pokémon Black for the Nintendo DS.  These will be the first completely brand new Pokémon games since 2006’s Pokémon Diamond & Pearl. Nintendo is set to release more information on April 15th, so we’ll update the story at that time.  In the meantime, enjoy the official logos for the upcoming games.  One note to make is that these games have yet to be formally announced for North America, Europe or anywhere else outside of Japan.  That means nothing though, as virtually all Pokémon titles find their way outside Japan eventually.

  1. yay :D
hope to see more news and info when they come out ;D
good thing I found your website, I kinda lost track of you guys when you stopped posting on youtube

are you going to keep making video reviews? if not in youtube at least using a different means to do so?

as you can see, I really enjoyed those videos ;D

    keep up the good work

  2. Yeah we plan to incorporate our videos directly here, and on YouTube. Right now we’re trying to figure out the best way of capturing the info. Since I’m building a new computer, I’m going to make sure I put a capture card inside it so I can easily record HD footage directly from my Xbox 360/PS3/Wii.

  3. I would have wet me bed 10 years ago. I’ve played the same game 10 times now. Nintendo keeps recycling the same game over and over again. They should have made a console version a long time ago, now with the internet, there’s no excuse anymore as the best aspect of pokemon has always been trading and battling other friends. They were lazy back then, still are today.

    1. Why don’t they just call it ‘Rainbow’ and be done? :P Heh, perhaps this one will show the series’ true colors, nyaaaahhh!!!

Haven’t cared about this franchise since day one, don’t plan to.

  4. Pokemon installments are just like Dragon Quest; same formula with a buttload of new features and slight variation. In that sense, I won’t hold fault for what Game Freak is doing since it’s successful. However, I will say that it’s about time that Game Freak moves to the console space. Would be cool if they do something like make Pokemon Black for Wii and Pokemon White for handheld.

Luckily, I have not played the series to death so each time I get into a game it feels fresh and fun for me. F
