Zelda Manga Comes to Life Thanks to Fans!

The Legend of Zelda: Triforce of the Gods Animated Fan Series Trailer from Archer Animation on Vimeo.

Here’s something you don’t see everyday. Archer Animation (a fan-driven studio) are working to bring the Japanese Zelda Manga to life with animation, music, light voice acting, and special effects. Not quite a full-blown anime, but I’ll take this Digital Graphic Novel approach. Their first project is probably the most ambitious; giving A Link to the Past (Triforce of the Gods in Japan) a visual makeover. The trailer looks very promising thus far. Loving the whole feel of ALttP’s intro. Very authentic and engaging. I can’t compare it to the original Manga since I have not read any. Music is provided by another ongoing fan project called “Zelda Reorchestrated“, whose goal is to remake the series’ music using higher-quality sounds and bigger production values.

I can’t wait for full episodes to go online. Let’s just hope Nintendo does not shut them down.

A big thanks to ZREO for alerting us about this sweet project.
