Commercial Flashback #5: It’s WILD, it’s DYN-O-MITE!

Marketing executives are coming up with stupid shit all the time. I could write an entry in this series every day for the next five years and still have a formidable stockpile of stupid to run on. I’m confident there will never be a shortage because a) people will never stop advertising their products, b) people will never stop trying to be the boldest on the marketing block, and c) people will never stop being idiots. Let’s take a look at the television ad for Super Mario Kart on the SNES:

There have been some pretty insane narrators in the past twenty years of video game advertisements, but this man is the most XTREME that I’ve encountered thus far. He’s completely out of his mind as if he’s snorted a pound of cocaine up his ass and woken up on Christmas morning to find a Lamborghini festooned in roses and a frilly red bow parked in his driveway. This guy talks so fast that I have no idea what he’s trying to say, so I’ll leave it up to you guys to interpret the sheer mania that is this commercial.

Till next time, take it easy, and don’t forget to “make some room for the BIG BOYS!”
