For all those Wii owners out there begging for great JRPGs like Xenoblade and The Last Story I’ve got some news for you that might cheer you up. There’s a project going on right now called Operation Rainfall that plans to gather as many people as possible to save these games and more from never officially hitting North America. You can follow the group on Twitter via twitter @OpRainfall. Between the dates of July 11th and the 13th the group plans to flood Nintendo of America with the following messages being sent by any and everyone interested.
As a fan of your company and of RPGs, I was extremely excited about the reveal of Monado which was later retitled Xenoblade. After it’s reveal at E3 2008 it quickly became one of my most anticipated games for the Wii, and as more information, screens, and trailers were released my interest only expanded. I am deeply concerned that this game has no North American release planned, especially considering the sparse lineup on the wii in the next year. I have been a Loyal fan of this company for over 25 years, and yet there hasn’t been a game worth getting on your console for nearly 8 months… and nothing on the horizon to be excited about besides Kirby and Zelda, and yet Xenoblade sits completed, and soon to be localized for Europe in English. Please consider your company’s fans, please bring Xenoblade to us.

For full details hit up the site by clicking the link provided above. In the meantime the blog is asking everyone to pre-order Xenoblade (AKA Monado) via Amazon.com. If you check right now you will see that Monado is the top selling game for the past 48 hours. I’ve already pre-ordered the game myself to try and help out.
Before anyone chimes in to say these things don’t work, let’s not forget the power of social media. Facebook and Twitter have been used to overthrow governments so I’m pretty sure they have the power to convince Nintendo of America to localize three or four games people actually want to play. If enough people pre-order these games that alone could convince NoA that it’s worth their effort.
Join the cause, help save Xenoblade, The Last Story and Pandora’s Tower.
