History Is Made – Famitsu Awards First North American Videogame A Perfect Score

Epic, for a whole new reason.

You read the heading correctly.  Weekly Famitsu, Japan’s most popular videogame magazine has rated The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim a perfect 40/40 score.  That makes Skyrim the first North American-made game to receive the perfect score.  Major props to everyone at Bethesda for making history.

How are you all enjoying your time with the game?  I plan to revisit Skyrim over the holidays if I can catch up on a few other games beforehand.  You’ve likely read my review already so you know how I feel, but I’m curious what you all love/dislike about Bethesda’s latest epic.

  1. Wicked, that is a big triumph for North American-made games in Japan. Actually, people seem fairly excited about it over here. I’m going to import it, though, as playing this kind of game in Japanese would be a bit of a chore.

  2. Iam not impressed by the score, becuase famitsu scoring system is not the best there is, but because like you said is the first western game to get this, unbelieveble, next what happens?, perhaps the 360 start selling well in japan 8D if that happens the end of the world is near mates.
