Ratchet & Clank HD Collection Coming This Fall

We knew this day would come, and I’m extremely excited for it.  Ted Price has just confirmed, via the PlayStation Blog that the Ratchet & Clank Collection will hit North American PS3s this fall because of something extra special they’re planning for the region to help celebrate the 10th anniversary of the series.  Included in the collection will be the first three PS2 R&C games, the original, Going Commando, and Up Your Arsenal.  As expected, there will be three platnium trophies, 1080p support and even stereoscopic 3D support.  That’s not all, but online multiplayer will also be included in Up Your Arsenal!

Of all the collections, I’m super excited about this one the most.  Can’t wait to hear more about what surprise they have in store for North American fans.

  1. This is probably one collection I’ll pick up, especially because I’ve never played the original Ratchet and Clank games. I have to wonder what other PS2 collections we’ll see brought to PS3 down the road as well…I’m already committed to picking up the Devil May Cry, Silent Hill, and Zone of the Enders HD Collections for sure. A Mega Man Collection (maybe with the content from Anniversary and X Collection, plus X7, X8, Network Transmission, and Command Mission) would be awesome.

  2. I wonder what they’d do for a Mega Man Collection given how many there are. It’d be awesome to have actual collections of the core series, so like a Mega Man HD Collection, Mega Man X HD Collection, etc. I think that’d be pretty damn sweet.
