Robot: Rocket on Wheels was released November 1999 meaning it was really buried for me. I was all over the Dreamcast at that point in time, 9/9/99 anyone? I was also head first into Final Fantasy VIII. RE: Nemesis hit that month as well. Needless to say, there's no possible way I would have had the time to check out a sleeper hit at that point in time. It sounds like a really innovative title, and it's no surprise the studio would continue to make creative and fun games. Both Sly and inFamous are excellent titles, and I'm actually kind of curious to see what's next from Sucker Punch.

I'm almost certain it wasn't, Jarrod. This was one of the N64's true sleeper hits and it's worth checking out because it was really different from anything else that hit during that era of console gaming. It was quirky, charming, innovative and a damn good game to boot. My love for Rocket was right up there with Space Station Silicon Valley, another game I stumbled upon by chance back then and couldn't get enough of.

One quick question for you Charles, do you know if this game was released on the Virtual Console? That would make finding a copy virtually irrelevant. Just curious.

I never heard of this game before, and the different gameplay elements you mentioned are indeed intriguing. I know Sucker Punch from their Sly Cooper series and naturally from inFamous, but had no idea they were around during the N64 days. Man I love this series, hope to see future installments on a more regular basis ;)
