E3 2012 – Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 Officially Announced (Teaser Trailer Inside)

While it’s really no secret at this point in time, Konami has officially announced Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.  No further details were revealed at this point in time, so sit back and enjoy the debut trailer.

We expect a gameplay trailer to show up sometime next week if the game is far enough along in development.  Right now literally the only thing we know outside the target platforms, is that Mercury Steam will once again be the developer.

  1. Never been a Castlevania fan… Don’t like games with multiple paths or labyrinths, but I enjoyed Lords of Shadow. It was much more linear which suited my taste :)

  2. This makes me happy. :) I loved Lords of Shadow (disregard everyone who says it’s a GoW clone, because it certainly isn’t). I’ll be following this game, for sure. I also hope to see another SOTN-style game and another “classic” Castlevania, too. If there was a new Castlevania game made available on PSN that plays similarly to Super Castlevania IV, that would be rad. And another 2D non-linear Castlevania would be so sweet too–I’d love to see a remake/dual pack of Aria and Dawn of Sorrow.

    1. Well we now know of two 3D Castlevania games, one for the 3DS and one for the 360/PS3. They didn’t mention the Wii U, but I’m expecting this one to show up there as well. I’m really hoping a new 2D iteration happens somewhere though because damn it love those classic Castlevania games.
