God of War Saga Review
God of War Saga (Available exclusively on PlayStation 3)
ESRB Rating: M
Number of Players: 1
Developer: SCE Santa Monica Studios & Ready at Dawn
Release Date: August 28th, 2012
Parent Talk: The God of War series has always been about extreme violence, strong language and brief nudity. When the original was released way back in 2005 on the PlayStation 2, people were shocked at the level of gore, so needless to say this compilation is for those 17 and older. Listen to the ESRB people!
Plays Like: If you haven’t experienced a God of War game by now, expect blood, violence and nudity. God of War is an over-the-top action game that feels similar to most third-person action games where you simply destroy everything on-camera. There are light puzzle and platforming elements thrown in for good measure. Some say Castlevania: Lords of Shadow game plays similar, others argue the fact. Bottom line is, if you’re of age and haven’t played this series before, just buy this disc.
Review Basis: Played through each and every game in this compilation several times before. Given the games were all re-released recently all that was required for this review was to ensure no bug or additional glitches made their way onto this disc.

That is every single God of War game we have ever covered, and just so happens to be every single game in the series. Needless to say there’s little point regurgitating what we’ve already said previously. That said I would like to write a little something about this incredible offer.
Each game in the series has been given at least a 9 by one author or another on the site. Basically each and every member loves these games. While it is starting to show its age now, there’s no denying what God of War did for the action genre on the PlayStation 2 and beyond. Sony has compiled each and every game from the series, slapped it all on a disc and put it out on the market for $39.99. If you missed out on the individual releases, or didn’t pick up the last two collections, this set is a no-brainer. Both God of War III and God of War: Origins Collection have 3D support, while all the older games have been completely remastered in HD. The package also comes with one month of free access to PlayStation Plus premium service for the PlayStation Network.
If you have been living under a rock for the past decade, it’s time to finally get out there and experience one of gaming’s premiere action series. At $40 you get all five games, remastered and better than ever. Why are you still reading this?
