What’s Coming Next

Now that our Last of Us review is behind us, we’ve got lots of big plans to keep everyone excited about the site. Steven sent me Pokémon White Version 2, which will be my introduction to the series. I plan to do some impression articles and videos on that. The two of us are also planning to do a play-through of Resident Evil 6, which we will be live streaming on Twitch, so I’m sure some of you will enjoy that. It’ll be the first title in our new “Let’s Play” section of YouTube. We’ll also be streaming and recording our commentary throughout the play-through, so it should be highly humorous.

Outside of that, I mailed Steven The Last of Us, so our coverage of that game will continue for the next week at the very least. We still have the multiplayer to cover, and many viewers have chimed in asking for a play-through of it, so I might go ahead and do just that. Everything will depend on how many other games we need to cover by the time I get the game back from Steven. I also have to figure out a balance between live streaming, and recording. I don’t want 500GB file sizes to have to edit together because it will take an eternity to upload.

We also have E3 starting next week, so I’m sure we’ll have video content discussing what’s announced, and our overall thoughts. Steven and I are going to be hosting a video podcast for our YouTube followers as well. We want to make this a weekly feature so people have a reason to keep coming back. Couple that with daily articles like this one, and I’m hopeful we can keep you all entertained for the foreseeable future :) If there’s anything you’d like to see in particular, by all means lets us know and we’ll do our best to cover them.

  1. Looking forward to the livestream. My advice before doing so: do multiple test streams first to pick up and resolve any issues before the real thing. Also, not to worry about space: livestreaming won’t take any space from your hard drive so you can actually use direct capture simultaneously while livestreaming. That way you can archive your stream footage for YouTube use.

    1. Yeah and YouTube now has streaming options as well, which will allow us to directly target our largest audience. I really want to keep these people coming back for more. We had an incredible opportunity with The Last of Us, and we need to use that advantage. I plan to do a video a day from here on out about anything I can think of, plus have at the very least one original article posted a day, preferably two, one in the morning and one in the evening. The more people we get involved, the better it is for everyone. The site, and our YouTube content has literally exploded over the past week.
