This is where I'm supposed to gush on about what an amazing career I've had, and all that jazz, but the truth is that this website sort of came out of nowhere.

It all started many years ago...

I've been in the gaming industry in one form or another for...way too many years now. I used to work for various gaming sites, publications and even developers, some pretty famous ones too. Eventually I found my way to the Hyrule Town Square, which eventually became the Nsider message boards. It's somewhat funny but I ended up having way more fun talking to people who were passionate about gaming, than actually making videogames.

Most of the original staff were from those days, just talking about games, movies and whatever else we had on our minds at the time. When it came time to actually sit down and build the site, William Cook and myself fleshed out exactly what we wanted from the site. It was essentially just an extension of Nsider. We wanted to build our own community and do what the "big guys" were doing. It sure took us a while, but here we are today with a 'real' website, something to be proud of. To think, we've been around since 2004! That's pretty amazing when you stop and think about it. The GameCube was still a young console back then. When you said DS, people thought you mispronounced BS. You know, the golden age hehe.

I could go on and on about my personal life, but that's boring. It's far more interesting to know that COE is situated in Montreal Quebec, that's right, with Ubisoft, EA Canada and a whole bunch of other big name developers. You also know that I'm a hardcore comic fan, movie fan and just about everything else in the realm of geekhood.

Oh and I've also been going on with the same beautiful woman for many years now. God bless you Sarina, I have no clue how you put up with all my shenanigans.

After the devastating events of Avengers Disassembled, something must be done with the Scarlet Witch, or else all life on Earth could be wiped out with a mere thought. House of M is the direct follow-up, and completely changes the Marvel Universe's mutant race. It's one of the best events Marvel has put out in the last decade and a must-read for anyone trying to get into superhero comics today.

If you're looking to get back into comics, or simply interested in seeing a giant 10-year storyline run its course, you've come to the right place. Jarrod goes over each and every major Marvel comic event since 2004, starting with the now-classic Avengers Disassembled arc, which saw the Avenger disband for the very first time. This storyline also laid the groundwork for the next decade of stories Marvel has told. It's hard to believe, but even this summer's huge Avengers vs. X-Men event all began with this story from 2004. Enjoy!
