Game one is going to be huge for both teams, but LA has not lost a road game during [...]
Marvel’s 10-Year Plan – Part 6: Schism
005/24/2012
Hope is safely at Utopia, the X-Men are finally seeing a little break from all the craziness, and now is a good time for world hatred towards the mutants to come to an end. Can Cyclopes and Wolverine convince the world leaders that their Sentinels are no longer needed?
Marvel’s 10-Year Plan – Part 5: Second Coming
005/23/2012
The mutant messiah trilogy comes to a close with a heartbreaking story about a girl who loses her father, and an elf the world loved. If this story was a creator-owned project it would be one of the very best out there, but because it's mainstream all these dead characters will return to life in another week or so. Still, this remains an excellent conclusion to the mutant messiah trilogy, and develops Hope as one of the most interesting new mutant introduced in the past 20 years.
“Staples Center will host the Stanley Cup Final in the next 5 years” — Timothy Magana June 2010
1105/23/2012
When I was showing the COE crew the Staples Center, back in 2010 I told everyone this: "The Staples Center will host the Stanley Cup Final in the next 5 years." At the time, I'm sure everyone thought I was way out of my mind and crazy when I made the statement, but tonight LA beat the Phoenix Coyotes in game 5 of the Western Conference Finals.
Marvel’s 10-Year Plan – Part 4: Messiah War
305/22/2012
Messiah War picks up a short time after Messiah War and deals with Cable's journey through time with the mutant messiah. No longer a baby, Hope must come to terms that there is something mighty special about her, because people are being sent through time just to assassinate her, or protect her. This pivotal second chapter shows just how far Cable is willing to go to protect the future of his species.
Marvel’s 10-Year Plan – Part 3: Messiah Complex
305/21/2012
We're starting to make some movement here. Part 3 looks at Messiah Complex, one of the largest X-Men events to come along in a very long time. It's the beginning of the "Messiah Trilogy," and prepares readers for mutant's future, or lack thereof.
Marvel’s 10-Year Plan – Part 2: House of M
405/19/2012
After the devastating events of Avengers Disassembled, something must be done with the Scarlet Witch, or else all life on Earth could be wiped out with a mere thought. House of M is the direct follow-up, and completely changes the Marvel Universe's mutant race. It's one of the best events Marvel has put out in the last decade and a must-read for anyone trying to get into superhero comics today.
Marvel’s 10-Year Plan – Part 1: Wanda’s Breaking Point
705/18/2012
If you're looking to get back into comics, or simply interested in seeing a giant 10-year storyline run its course, you've come to the right place. Jarrod goes over each and every major Marvel comic event since 2004, starting with the now-classic Avengers Disassembled arc, which saw the Avenger disband for the very first time. This storyline also laid the groundwork for the next decade of stories Marvel has told. It's hard to believe, but even this summer's huge Avengers vs. X-Men event all began with this story from 2004. Enjoy!
A Secret That Changed Everything
305/15/2012
Ever wonder when these big comic book events started, and why? Jarrod looks at the history behind the comic event and how it has changed the face of comics forever. The story behind why events started is rather interesting, so hopefully you can all take something away from this article.
